Black terracotta dish with cloche. This small dish is handmade in Lombok, Indonesia and has a unique, organic look. The terracotta is baked in the ground at high temperatures using an ancient technique, to give its black colour, and then polished with a semi precious stone to give it the shine. Safe for use on top of the hob, this dish can go straight from hob to oven to table. Perfect for serving up your home cooked creations and you can use them to cook in and then eat from. Or makes a cute little butter dish.

These pieces can be used on the hob, BBQ and in the oven. The heat can cause some of the traditional terracotta colour to return. Each piece is slightly unique in its own way, which only adds to their beauty.
This is a handmade product and no two pieces are the same. You may see some variations in colour, occasionally the terracotta colour may marble through and the finish may vary and change through use. This is an intrinsic part of the material and is not considered a flaw.
