For us, hosting is not about perfection. It's about creating a warm, relaxed moment where people feel welcome and want to linger a little longer. Scent the entrance with a diffuser or fragrant candle. Set the table, add a vase of flowers, fresh or faux, or dot bud vases about and light more candles and lamps for an ambiant glow. Serve treats on classic stoneware platters, wooden boards or something funky and colourful - all the ingredients to create an occasion to savour.
